The Andromax R2 comes in three color variants. They are white gold, black gold and black silver. This smartphone promises an ultra-speed network access and a smooth performance for your daily use.

Screen and Design

The Andromax R2 blends together plastic and metal frame as the materials. Plastic makes up the front of the body, where touchscreen panel, front camera, speaker, and virtual keys reside. It also covers the back body of the phone where the main camera and the main speaker reside. The metal frame is put around the body, making it get a premium taste to attract your eyes.

Smartfren makes the right decision in placing sound volume and power button. Volume button can be found on its left side while power button can be found on its right side. It can make you can capture a screenshot that can be done by pressing volume down and power button together with only one hand. There are three soft keys found at the bottom of the device’s bezel. Those buttons function as menu, home, and back button.

Smartfren adopts a 5-inch HD IPS LCD to make your eyes comfortable when looking at the display. It is because the IPS display is able to show every detail color in the screen. To protect the display, Smartfren uses DragonTrail glass to protect the display to avoid scratches that usually occurs on the display. So, you don’t need to worry about it.

Software and Processor

There is nothing special with the operating system used by The Andromax R2. It only uses a pure Android Lollipop as its operating system. It means that the user will get the pure Android Lollipop’s homescreen. There are several bloatwares – pre-installed applications - found in the device. Some of them are removable.

The Andromax R2 uses a middle-end processor from Qualcomm. It is an eight-core Snapdragon 415 processor that is able to reach 1.4GHz speed. The processor is supported with 2GB RAM, making this phone able to run heavy apps and open many apps at the same time. If you are a gamer, don’t worry! An Adreno 405 is ready to run any games you like to play. In conclusion, for running many apps and playing games, The Andromax R2 is reliable.

Connectivity

LTE network has been supported by this smartphone, making your Internet surfing experience much more fun. One thing you need to know is that the LTE network can only be used only if you are using Smartfren simcard.

Camera

The Andromax R2 comes with a 13-megapixel lens and LED flash to satisfy your photography pleasure. The sensor used by the camera is a BSI-based one that is claimed having an ability to reduce noises in a picture. The Andromax R2 may not have the best camera, but it can capture your best moment.

Its front camera is able to capture a wide-angle picture which can satisfy your desire of taking selfies. Although it has a big front camera lens, it is not equipped with autofocus. Storage and Battery

To store all your data, the Andromax R2 is equipped with a huge 16GB original internal storage. The storage which is available for you is 13GB. Do you think it is not enough? Don’t worry! You can still expand the storage by inserting an sdcard up to 32GB. Well, you can whoa. To me, that storage is more than enough for daily use, as long as you do not store all films in it.

A Li-Ion battery with 2,320 mAh is used to supply the energy for the Andromax R2. It can only last for about ten hours for daily use like chatting and internet browsing. If you love traveling and often forget to charge your smartphone, I suggest that you always bring a powerbank as the additional energy for your smartphone.
