Screen and Design

The design of this tablet is almost familiar with other entry-level tablets. There is almost nothing special in its design. Plastic materials cover the whole body of this tablet. First time you hold this tablet, you can sense how cheap the tablet is. The positioning of hardware such as camera, speakerphone, and loudspeaker is similar with other tablets. You can find a front camera and speakerphone at the top of the device. There are three soft keys you can find at the bottom of the display. Those keys function as recent apps, home, and back. Move to the right side, there are two physical buttons that let you control sound volume and device power. USB port, for charging and data transferring, can be found at the bottom of its body. At the back, there are main camera, and loud speaker. Even though its design is not beautiful, it can give you a comfortable experience when using the device. It is because its back cover which is designed with bee-like contour signage that is nice to hold. The back cover is not fixed. It means that you can remove its battery if necessary.

The Winner S4 relies a 7-inch HD IPS LCD to be its display. Nothing special? Yes, there is nothing special in its display. It cannot show objects clearly below the sunlight, so it is better to find low-light place before using this tablet.

Software and Processor

The Winner S4 has used Android Marshmallow as its operating system. The operating system itself is kept original, so you will find a default Android Marshmallow homescreen in its main display. You won’t find many bloatwares – pre-installed applications. For a tablet, Android Marshmallow is the latest and the most secure software.

Evercoss uses a quadcore 1.0GHz Cortex-A53 64bit processor by MediaTek. The processor is supported with 1GB RAM. It seems like the performance won’t be so good. In fact, it can run many applications smoothly. You can answer chats while you are surfing the Internet and playing some music you like at the same time with no worries that your tablet will freeze. For gaming, A Mali T720 is provided to give your device more power when you play any games you want.

Camera

The Winner S4 comes with a 3-megapixel main camera with an LED flash. Compared with a tablet by Lenovo, the Tab 2, the Winner S4 is better since Lenovo Tab 2 has only 2-megapixel camera. Equipped with autofocus, Evercoss Winner S4 can capture your moment with bokeh – blur in the out-of-focus parts of an image – effect, thanks to its autofocus. But, don’t expect that your picture will have less noises because of its small camera lens.
Taken by the main camera

Move to its front camera, it is only equipped with a 2-megapixel camera lens. It is not equipped with LED flash which means that you cannot take photos, videos, or videocall someone in a low-light room. The quality of pictures and videos taken with its front camera is good, but not special. In conclusion, its front camera is not a great one, but it is useful.

Storage and Battery

To store all your data, the Winner S4 is equipped with an 8GB original internal storage. The storage which is available for you is 4.7GB. It is really a small space, isn’t it? But, don’t worry! You can expand the storage by inserting an sdcard up to 32GB. It seems like having an sdcard is a must. I would like to suggest that you be wise to choose what apps to install, or later, you will have insufficient memory and starting to be confused to choose what apps to uninstall.

To power the tablet, Evercoss Winner S4 is equipped with a quite huge battery. A Li-Ion battery with 2,500 mAh is used to supply the energy for the Winner S4. It can last for about eight to ten hours for normal use like chatting and internet browsing. If you love traveling and often forget to charge your smartphone, I suggest that you always bring a powerbank as the additional energy for your tablet.

Conclusion

Evercoss Winner S4 is a 4G tablet with a simple look and high-performance hardware. Its camera can take a satisfying picture quality that can satisfy your photography and instagramming pleasure. The internal storage is for a smartphone under IDR 1,099,000.00 is likely enough to store some of your important data. All in all, Evercoss Winner S4 is an option for you who desires an inexpensive 4G tablet with a powerful performance.
