Screen and Design
The Vandroid i7 comes with a
simple design. From the look, you will find this tablet not special. All body
is fully covered by plastic material, making it look like a cheap device. In
fact, it is a cheap device. You can find a front camera and speakerphone at the top of the device.
There are three soft keys at the bottom of the display. Those keys function as
recent apps, home, and back. Move to the right frame of this tablet, there are
two physical buttons that let you control sound volume and device power. USB
port, for charging and data transferring, can be found at the bottom of its
body. At the back, there are main camera, and loud speaker. Even though its
design is not beautiful, it can give you a comfortable experience when using
the device. It is because its back cover which is designed with bee-nest-like
contour signage that is nice to hold. The back cover is not fixed. It means
that you can remove its battery if necessary.
The Vandroid i7 uses a 7-inch HD IPS LCD as its display. Nothing
special? Wait! The display has a piece of technology called EyePRO which is
claimed able to keep your eyes healthy even if you use the tablet for a long
time. How does it work? Well, it works by reducing the blue light radiation,
that can make your eyes tired easily. As the result, the objects that are shown
in its display are yellowish, but you can enjoy using Vandroid i7 without worrying about your eyes healthiness.
Software and Processor
The Vandroid i7 uses Android
Marshmallow as its operating system. If you see the homescreen. you will
find it similar with other tablets, because it uses a default Android one. You won’t find many
bloatwares – pre-installed applications. For a tablet, Android Marshmallow is the latest and the most secure software.
Advan uses a
quadcore 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 64bit processor by MediaTek. The processor is supported with 2GB RAM, making
multitasking is a piece of cake for this tablet. For gaming, A Mali T720 is
ready for you to play games such as Plants
vs Zombies, PvZ Heroes, Asphalt, Subways Surfers, and many more with no
lags at all. In short, Advan i7 is a reliable tablet for your daily purposes.
Camera
The Vandroid i7 comes with a 5-megapixel main camera with an LED flash.
Advan Vandroid i7 can capture your
moment with satisfying bokeh – blur in the out-of-focus parts of an image –
effect, thanks to its autofocus. The autofocus may not be the fastest one, but
it can give you satisfying picture which is instagramable – great to be posted
on Instagram. Compared with Huawei
MediaPad T2, the Vandroid i7 is
better since the camera that is adopted by the MediaPad T2 is only 2 megapixels.

Taken by the main camera (personal collection) |
Move to its front camera, it is only
equipped with a 2-megapixel camera lens. What makes it special is that it comes
with LED flash. So, you can still videocall someone or take pictures or videos
when you are in a low-light room. The quality of pictures and videos taken with
its front camera is good, but not special. In conclusion, its front camera is not a great
one, but it is useful.
Storage and Battery
To store all your data, the Vandroid i7 is equipped with an 8GB
original internal storage. The storage which is available for you is 4.7GB. It
is really a small space, isn’t it? Luckily, you can expand the storage by
inserting an sdcard up to 32GB. It seems like having an sdcard is a must. I
would like to suggest that you be wise to choose what apps to install, or
later, you will have insufficient memory and starting to be confused to choose
what apps to uninstall.
To power the tablet, i7 is equipped
with a quite huge battery capacity. A Li-Ion
battery with 2,500 mAh is used to supply the energy for the tablet. It can
last for about eight to ten hours for normal use like chatting and internet
browsing. If you love traveling and often forget to charge your smartphone, I
suggest that you always bring a powerbank as the additional energy for your
tablet.
Conclusion
Advan Vandroid i7 is a 4G tablet with a simple look
and high-performance hardware. Its display is eye-friendly, thanks to the EyePRO. Its camera can take a satisfying picture quality that can
satisfy your photography and instagramming pleasure. The internal storage is
for a smartphone under IDR 1,500,000.00 is likely enough to store some of your
important data. All in all, Advan
Vandroid i7 is an option for you who desires an inexpensive 4G tablet with
a powerful performance.
